Mumbai: Showing kindness to Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab, Kavita Karkare, wife of slain Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare, has said that her family is ready to forgive the terrorist.
In an interview to a TV channel the widow of late Hemant Karkare said, ‘He is only 21 years old. He should be given opportunity to change his theories.’
But it is difficult to say that the nation would like to forgive Kasab who along with some other terrorists are responsible for the killing of about 200 people in the gravest terrorist attack in India.
Kasab and his colleague Abu Ismail shot dead the ATS chief Hemant Karkare along with top ATS officials Vijay Salaskar and Vijay Kamte near Cama Hospital on November 26.
On another occasion Kavita Karkare had said that she knew the secret behind the murder of her husband.
‘The police should provided with more sophisticated weapons and better training to efficiently deal with the attacks like 26/11. Their salary status should also be upgraded,’ she is believed to have said in another interview.
