Mumbai : Reliance Communications (R-Com), the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) company that recently launched a GSM mobile service to complement its existing CDMA network, Thursday announced it will provide free video content to subscribers in collaboration with a British company.
In a statement, R-Com said the Britain-based value added services (VAS) provider Swanbaymtech will broadcast free content on Reliance handsets in an advertisement-supported model.
“The application offers an outstanding video quality hitherto not experienced by mobile users. Our initiative will act as a launch pad for ad-funded videos in India,” Krishna Durbha, head of R-Com’s VAS division, said in the statement.
