Gaza : Dozens of dead people were reported in the Gaza Strip Sunday, because of the recrudescing Israeli aggression, whose army presses forward to the capital of Gaza, despite strong resistance by the Islamic forces.
At the beginning of the third week and 16th day of the attacks, at least 10 fighters and six civilians from Palestine died because of the aggression, increasing the number of mortal victims to 875, and the number of injured people to more than 3,700.
Military reports said the air bombings, attacks on sea and ground by the Israeli Army affected 60 places in the center of Gaza Sunday including a mosque and underground tunnels.
Isreal attacked on the north and east of Gaza, while a column of tanks entered by the southwest, said Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera.
Humanitarian and medical sources accused the Israeli Army of being using white phosphorus and a powerful explosive called DIME in the attacks.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert sent a representative to Egypt to negotiate, while the Israeli Cabinet got a meeting Sunday. Olmert said the Israeli government is “getting closer to its objectives” but admitted the Israeli soldiers should fight more to get the purposes to stop the Palestinian resistance.
The Israeli security cabinet, formed by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Affairs Minister Tzipi Livni, both aspiring to Prime Minister in the February 10 elections in Israel, is discussing if the third phase of the attacks on Gaza should be ordered.
Analysts considered this third phase, if ordered, would evidence the other two were insufficient to stop the Paleastinians.
