New Delhi : Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee Monday disqualified Janata Dal-United (JD-U) MP P.P. Koya from the house for violating his party’s whip.

Koya had voted in favour of the the Manmohan Singh government in the July 22 trust vote against the party’s diktat. He was disqualified under the anti-defection law.
