New Delhi : Warmer mornings lie ahead for Delhi in the next few days with the met office Thursday predicting a rise in day and night temperatures.
The minimum temperature rose to 8 degrees Celsius – up from 6.7 degrees Celsius Wednesday – which was normal for this time of the season. The maximum was recorded at 23.9 degrees Celsius.
“With the earth’s northern hemisphere moving closer to the sun we can expect further increase in temperature in the coming days. The minimum and maximum temperature is likely to record a jump of three to four degrees by the weekend,” an official at the Safdarjung met department said.
He forecast clear skies with mist in the early mornings.
International and domestic flights at the capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were running on time thanks to clear visibility on all runways, an airport official said.
