Lucknow : A 60-year-old beggar was allegedly held captive and gang raped by three men in an Uttar Pradesh village, the police said Friday.
According to the police, the bizarre incident took place in Riwai village in Mahoba, about 200-km from here.
“We today (Friday) registered a case against three men of the village,” police inspector Prakash Singh told IANS on telephone.
The complainant, Khaleel Ahmad, who is the husband of the victim, has alleged that his 60-year-old wife was held captive for two days in a house in the Riwai village and was raped by three men, he added.
Ahmad has alleged that his wife had gone to collect alms from a house Wednesday where she was held captive and raped by the inmates.
Ahmad approached the police Friday after his wife returned Thursday night and narrated the entire incident.
Nobody was arrested till reports last came in and according to the police the accused were at large.
“We have sent the victim for a medical examination and are awaiting the report,” said Singh.
