New Delhi: Shocked with the National Human Rights Commission report on Batla House encounter case wherein it gave the Delhi Police a clean chit, people in Azamgarh will hold a protest demonstration at the District Magistrate’s office tomorrow.
They say the report is biased as it is based on just the police version and no representation from the families of the two youths whom the police gunned down describing them as terror suspects on September 19, 2008, was accepted by the commission.
People from several parts of the town specially from Sarai Meer and Sanjarpur areas – Sajid and Atif’s villages – will assemble at the collector’s office on Friday holding placards demanding judicial enquiry into the encounter. The two were killed in the encounter.
