New Delhi: Shouting anti-Muslim slogans, some activists of RSS and its like-minded organizations VHP and Bajrang Dal allegedly burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday in Kishanganj and demanded him to take back his decision to allow opening of a branch of Aligarh Muslim University in the district.

Speaking to news reporters at chief minister house, young member of assembly, Akhtarul Iman said, “Most dangerous thing for secularism in India is RSS agenda. Whereas secular forces are augmenting secularism in entire Seemanchal, RSS and its umbrella organizations are busy in spreading hatred and perpetrating riots.”

Reminding that as per government report, Kishanganj is the most backward district in the country, Mr. Akhtarul Iman said, “Opposition to opening of AMU branch in such a manner has only created danger for integrity of the country.” He demanded the state government and union home ministry to take stern action against the miscreants.
