New Delhi : India has readied answers to the 30 questions Pakistan put forward on the Mumbai terror attacks which “provide a solid basis” to punish the perpetrators behind the horrific strike, Home Minister P. Chidambaram said here Friday.
Speaking to reporters here Friday, Chidambaram said: “We have put together answers to the 30 questions. They are a comprehensive document, and answer every question, and are backed by documentary evidence” like CDs and forensic analysis reports.
“Anyone serious about probing the attack will find enough material to take the investigations forward,” he said.
Chidambaram said the home ministry has handed over the report to External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee. “I have heard that the MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) will call the Pakistani high commissioner and give him copies of it.”
“If Pakistan is serious about investigating the origins of the horrific incidents in Mumbai, these answers provide solid basis. We expect Pakistan to take the investigations forward, apprehend all the culprits, hand them over to India for prosecution, or prosecute and punish them in Pakistan,” he said.
