Mumbai probe still on: Pakistan’s FIA

By IANS,

Islamabad : Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said Friday its probe into the 26/11 Mumbai attacks was continuing and that it had found some more evidence on the carnage, Geo TV reported.

Quoting well-placed sources in the FIA special team, the channel said the four men jailed for their alleged involvement in the attacks would remain under investigation till the charges were filed in the case.

According to officials, two other arrested men, identified as Shahid Jamil and Riaz, were said to have extended logistics support to the Mumbai attackers. Three other alleged perpetrators were still at large and two special units had been formed to nab them.

According to the channel, a team comprising senior police officers was examining the evidence provided by the Indian authorities.

India had in January submitted a detailed dossier on elements from this country who were involved in the Nov 26-29 Mumbai attacks that claimed over 170 lives, including of 26 foreigners.

Pakistan, which has admitted that part of the Mumbai conspiracy was planned in this country, had submitted a list of 30 questions on the Indian dossier.

India replied to the queries earlier this month.
