Three West Bengal girls capture Rahul for personal album

Kolkata : A day-long wait outside Kolkata airport proved fruitful for three sisters from Kolkata as they not only met their icon Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi but also managed to get their photographs clicked with him.

Rumeli Kar of Baguihati, on the outskirts of the city, along with her two younger sisters Megha and Roja came to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport early Saturday just to have a glance of Gandhi but failed to meet him.

Gandhi went on to attend an election rally in Murshidabad district and on his way back obliged the sisters with a photo opportunity at the airport in the evening.

“It was just a grace of god. We never imagined we would be able to click picture of Rahul Gandhi. But finally we got a chance and captured him,” an elated Rumeli said.

“We can’t explain it through words. We are extremely happy to get a change to click picture with him.”

Raising a debate on breach of security cordon, Gandhi came to three sisters and posed with them for the camera.

Last week also, Gandhi had broken the security cordon to shake hands with people during an election rally in Purulia district. However, he later said that such meetings were cleared by his security staff in advance.
