Ranchi : The Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) Thursday said the 34th National Games will be held from Nov 21 to Dec 5.
JOA president R.K. Aanand said: “The National Games will take place from Nov 21 to Dec 5. The infrastructure for the National Games will be ready in two months.”
JOA announced the new dates after holding a meeting with the construction company and National Games Organising Committee (NGOC).
Aanand also said that Rs.5.12 billion have been spent on developing infrastructure for the Games.
This is the fifth time that the dates for the Games have been announced. The National Games were scheduled to take place in Jharkhand in 2007. But the state government failed to develop the infrastructure forcing Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to postpone the Games four times.
