Raipur : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Karuna Shukla, the niece of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is trailing by 12,000 votes in Korba seat in Chhattisgarh, while Congress’ Renu Jogi, wife of former chief minister Ajit Jogi, is trailing by over 14,000 votes in Bilaspur, according to latest counting trends.
Shukla is trailing against Congress state working president Charandas Mahant in Korba after the third round of counting.
Renu Jogi is trailing behind BJP’s flamboyant leader and former union minister Dilip Singh Judeo in Bilaspur, after the third round of counting.
BJP’s candidate and former union minister Ramesh Bais is set to register his sixth straight win from Raipur seat as he is leading by over 22,000 votes after six rounds of counting.
