Seoul : Former South Korean president Roh Moo Hyun has died in a mountain climbing accident, local media reports said Saturday.
Roh’s body was found at the foot of a mountain near his home in the south-eastern part of the country after he apparently fell into a gorge, Yonhap news agency reported.
He was brought to the hospital with severe head injuries and later died, police said.
Police said they were investigating whether the fall was an accident or a possible suicide.
Roh, 62, who served as president from 2003-2008, had last month become the subject of an investigation into bribery allegations.
