Bhopal : The Madhya Pradesh agriculture department has advised farmers to sow wheat which could help them recover losses caused by the untimely rains in the state.
“Most parts of the state have been experiencing a wet spell for almost a week. As such, the department has asked farmers to choose wheat considering that the recent rains will be advantageous for sowing wheat,” an official statement Tuesday said.
“The farmers should start sowing as much as possible to take advantage of the conditions brought about by the rains,” said Agriculture Director D.N. Sharma.
Farmers have also been asked to use zinc sulphate as fertilizer.
