Chandigarh : The Haryana government has awarded a Rs.780-crore contract to Reliance Infrastructure for four-laning the Gurgaon-Faridabad road, state officials said here Monday.
The build, operate and transfer (BOT) project is expected to be completed by May 2011. The Ballabhgarh-Sohna road will also be widened as part of this project.
Reliance officials Monday gave a demand draft of Rs.150.3 crore to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the project.
The concession period is 17 years, including the construction period of two years.
This will be the first road project undertaken by the public works department (PWD) on BOT basis.
