Shimla : There was moderate snowfall and rain at many places in Himachal Pradesh early Tuesday, bringing the temperatures down considerably.
“The tribal belt of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts again saw snowfall this morning (Tuesday). There is further possibility of more snowfall in the next few days,” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office in Shimla, told IANS.
These landlocked tribal districts saw their first snowfall Aug 31. Most of the areas in these districts remain cut off from the rest of the country for more than six months in the year owing to heavy snowfall.
