By IANS,

New Delhi : After two days of continuous rain, Delhiites Saturday got a breather and enjoyed pleasant weather throughout the day.

“Till 8.30 a.m. (Saturday) 11 mm rainfall was recorded. From 8.30 till evening, only 0.2 mm rainfall was recorded,” a met official told IANS.

The maximum temperature was recorded at around 26 degrees Celsius which was eight degrees below the average and the minimum temperature was recorded at around 22.5 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below.

The met department predicted a partly cloudy sky Sunday.

“Sky will remain cloudy Sunday but there will be no rain. Weather will remain pleasant,” the met official said.

A break in the heavy rains also gave Delhiites a breather from waterlogging and consequent traffic snarls. It also gave people a chance to enjoy the pleasant weather.

“There was no rain throughout the day and the weather remained pleasant. I have planned an evening get-together at India Gate with my friends,” said young executive Puneet Raheja.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius and minimum at around 22 degrees Celsius.
