Mumbai : Air India Wednesday said its flight operations will be normal only by night as pilots who reported sick en masse will have to be medically examined before they are declared fit for flying.
“The pilots had reported sick. There are certain formalities. A proper procedure is carried out before the pilots are declared fit for flying,” airline spokesperson Jitendra Bhargava told reporters after the pilots called off their strike.
“Doctors will medically examine the pilots before they are declared fit for flying,” he said.
Senior executive pilots had gone on mass sick leave to protest against a cut in their wages.
