Withdraw Army from Kashmir: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind

By TCN News,

New Delhi: In uncommon continued protest by mainland Muslim groups against civilian killings in Kashmir, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind today strongly condemned atrocities of security forces against stone-pelting protestors and demanded their withdrawal from civilian areas in the Valley.

While expressing serious concern at the present situation in Kashmir, JIH held the wrong policies of state and central governments responsible for it.

“We express serious concern at the present situation in Kashmir where civilians are being killed in firings by police and security forces. Public protest in Kashmir is the result of wrong policies of state and central governments and atrocities by security forces but the government is trying to escape from its responsibilities by blaming foreign forces and secessionists,” said JIH in a resolution passed today at the end of urgently called three-day meeting of its Central Advisory Council.

The group demanded withdrawal of security forces and army from civilian areas in Kashmir, an end to curfew, road blockades and raids and arrests. It also demanded that draconian laws should be repealed and human rights violations should be stopped.

The CAC of JIH passed resolution on other issues also like Hindutva terrorism, price rise and Bangladesh government actions against activists of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.

The JIH lambasted the government and its agencies for not being fair in war against terrorism as despite establishment of Hindutva involvement in several terror bombings in the country their attitude has not changed.

“The Central government and its agencies vow to fight against terrorism in the country and outside but it is sad that they target so-called Islamic terror groups and Muslim youths instead of fair probes while it is a fact that in the last two years, several Hindu groups and individuals have been found involved in terrorism. They have been arrested in terror blasts at Malegaon, Mecca Masjid and Ajmer Dargah. Despite these facts, government and its agencies have not changed their attitude on the issue,” the resolution said.

It also said that the same Hindutva terror groups are involved in other major terror attacks also like Zaveri Bazaar in Mumbai, Samjhauta Express train, Bangalore, Jaipur, Delhi, Gujarat and Pune.

While demanding high level probes in all big terror incidents and police encounters and stringent action against the culprits, the JIH demanded release of all innocent Muslims who were picked in the terror cases in which now Hindutva terrorists have been found involved.

The group also held the wrong policies and priorities of the government responsible for price rise of daily commodities.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind condemned unjustified actions by Bangladesh government against Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh opposition leaders are being arrested on false charges and their human rights are being violated. Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh has become main target of Hasina Wajid government which is filing cases against its political opponents. It is also trying to cancel the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh as a political party.

The three-day meeting of Central Advisory Council of JIH was presided over by its national president Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri. Among those who attended the meet were Maulana Mohd Shafi Munis, Dr Abdul Haq Ansari, Mohd Jafar, Prof Siddique Hassan, Nusrat Ali, Engineer Mohd Salim, Ejaz Aslam and Qasim Rasool Ilyas.
