Ranchi : The Jharkhand cabinet has decided to appoint retired high court judge Amreshwar Sahay as the Lok Ayukta (ombudsman) of the state.
A cabinet meeting Thursday night cleared the name of Sahay. The notification for the appointment will be issued after getting the approval of Governor M.O.H. Farook.
He will be the second Lok Ayutka of Jharkhand.
Born in 1948, Sahay became a Jharkhand high court judge in 2002. He retired in October this year.
