President urges Obama to translate change promises into action

By IRNA,

Tehran : President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday said gone is the era of supremacy and bullying worldwide, urging US President Barack Obama to abide by his promise of change.

“I declare that gone is the era of supremacy and bullying worldwide,” President Ahmadinejad told large crowd of people celebrating the 31st triumph anniversary of Islamic Revolution’s triumph at Azadi Square.

He said Iran welcomes cooperation rather than confrontation.

“Iranian nation will not succumb to pressure and force, determined to stand their flimsy power. I recommend you to make a recourse to sincerity so that Iranian nation will trust you,” he added.

On Obama’s presidential campaign change solgan, President Ahmadinejad said, “We expected Mr. Obama to make changes. We are told that he is under pressure. Ok! He should act rightly and based on respect to nations. Submission is not the key. Unfortunately hope for changes by him is rapidly fading and turning to mishap. His conduct disappoints all.”

“Some say Obama follows the doctrine of his predecessor (George W.) Bush. We do not wish such analyses to come true. We do not wish to see that the analysis that he has come to mend image and visage of others be true. He is unfortunately losing chances and moves in an awry path.”
