Shimla : A team from the World Bank (WB) will visit Himachal Pradesh next month to sanction loan for the next phase of mid-Himalayan watershed project in the state, an official said here Friday.
“The World Bank team will visit the state Mar 9-11 to discuss the second phase of the mid-Himalayan watershed project. The bank is willing to extend the project in other villages too,” a government spokesperson said.
The WB has already agreed to provide a Programmatic Development Policy Loan of $450 million to the state for sustainable environmental growth.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was in Washington Feb 17 to meet WB officials.
