Gurgaon : A woman was raped in her son’s presence by her husband’s employers who had agreed to drop them home in Gurgaon, police said Sunday. Before informing the police, a village council tried to mediate but failed as the victim insisted on registering a case.
“The 26-year old victim was coming on a bus from her parents’ house in Alwar on Friday afternoon with her husband and seven year old son. As they reached Rampur area at the Gurgaon border, her husband saw his employers and asked them to drop his wife and son to their village,” a senior police officer.
Ashok is a driver and work for Rambeer and Karmveer, who are Gurgaon based transporters.
“Rambeer and Karmveer agreed to give a lift to the woman and asked Ashok to bring a vehicle from their office. On their way to Kota village in Gurgaon, both raped her on the back seat while her son was sitting in the front seat,” the officer said.
The duo then dropped them to their village and the victim informed her family members. “A panchayat was called to sort out the matter but the victim was insisting on registering a case,” the officer said.
According to police, the victim came to them on late Saturday night. “After taking her statement, we conducted the medical examination which confirmed the rape. Both the accused are resident of same village and a hunt is on to nab them,” police said.
