India expresses disappointment to Australia over attacks on Indians

New Delhi : Expressing disappointment over the continuing attacks on Indians, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash told more needs to be done by Australian government to stop these attacks.

“High Commission and Consulars in Australia are in close touch with Government of Australia, State governments and police authorities. Safety and security of Indian nationals is very important”, said Vishnu Prakash while talking to reporters in New Delhi.

Recently two Indians, including a cabbie, were attacked in separate incidents in Brisbane.
Meanwhile, the Australian government has again stressed that there was no indication that the attacks were racially motivated.
