New Delhi : Delhiites Thursday experienced a pleasant morning with minimum temperature hovering a notch below average for this time of the season. The weather office said heavy rains are expected in some areas towards evening or night.
The sky will be cloudy with a few spells of rains/thundershowers in other areas, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The minimum temperature in the city was 26.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below average, while the maximum is expected to settle at 35 degrees, two notches below average, he said.
The official said the humidity levels oscillated between a high of 89 percent and low of 72 percent since Wednesday morning. He said there were traces of rainfall in some parts of the city.
Delhi has received 28.4 mm of rainfall since Tuesday, taking the total so far in the monsoon season to 223.1 mm, which is 15 percent more than the average rainfall.
