Modern kitchens for Haryana schools

Jhajjar (Haryana) : Modern kitchens will be constructed in all state-run schools in Haryana to boost the mid-day meal scheme, an official said Sunday.

“All the necessary paraphernalia would be provided for these kitchens so that quality food can be provided to the children. Modern cooking equipment and other facilities will be provided,” said Geeta Bhukkal, state education and health minister.

“We have also urged the headmasters and teachers of the schools to remain extra vigilant while serving food to the children under mid-day meal scheme. Special heed should be paid to cleanliness and hygiene,” she pointed out.
