New Delhi : A 32-year-old woman Wednesday committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in the staff quarters of the Delhi zoo, police said.
Nisha’s father-in-law is an employee of the zoo and her husband Satish works in a tea stall. She lived in the staff quarters with her husband, three children and an extended joint family of around 10 people.
“Around 10.30 a.m. when all the adult members of the family left for work and only children were around, Nisha went to her room and hanged herself,” a police officer told IANS.
No suicide note was found. Police are waiting for the post-mortem report.
