New Delhi : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav Thursday advised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gopinath Munde to “be a Bihari Yadav” when he takes rebirth.
Lalu’s advice to the BJP leader came while he was participating in a debate in the Lok Sabha on caste-based enumeration in Census 2011.
Responding to Munde, who said even God will ask which caste you opt for rebirth, Lalu said: “When you take re-birth, you should become a Yadav in Bihar.”
“In fact, there is a religious scripture… he Yadav… he Yadav… he Madhav,” Lalu said.
The Bihar leader also congratulated Munde for supporting the demand for caste-based census.
“In fact, you cleansed the BJP’s policies,” Lalu said referring to the saffron party’s opposition to the implementation of the Mandal Commission report.
“When we were fighting for Mandal, you were fighting for Kamandal,” Lalu said.
