Islamabad: Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal Monday met Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) chief and Kashmir Committee chairman Maulana Fazl ur Rehman and discussed relations between the two countries.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman welcomed the announcement of restarting composite dialogue between Pakistan and India and the visit of Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna to Pakistan and said that composite dialogue would benefit people of both countries and it would also be in the interest of the entire region, reported Online news agency.
He said that Kashmiri leaders should also be made part of parleys so that Kashmir dispute is settled in an amicable way and in accordance to the expectations of the people.
Maulana Fazl also expressed hope that talks between Pakistan and India would be meaningful and purposeful.
