German president’s ‘Israel’ visit shrouded in secrecy

    By IRNA,

Berlin : The visit of German President Christian Wulff to ‘Israel’ and the Palestinian-run territories, scheduled for November 27-30, is shrouded in secrecy, the news website Palaestina Portal reported on Thursday.

Wulff’s official trip to Israel is taking place ‘quietly and secretly’ as no details of the visit have been released by the presidential office, the site pointed out.

The presidential website has so far not even mentioned Wulff’s trip to ‘Israel’ as part of his weekly schedule.

The official online site of the German government refers only to the date of Wulff’s trip to ‘Israel’ but also does not provide any specifics of the visit.

Even German media outlets which normally report extensively on German state visits to ‘Israel,’ have remained silent on the presidential visit.

Although the Middle East conflict has further spurred anti-Zionist regime sentiments within the German public, almost all German media outlets have a ‘pro-Israel’ bias, according to critics of the Zionist state.

Germany’s powerful Axel Springer Publishing House has been the focus of repeated criticism for its blind support of the Zionist regime.

Axel Springer media outlets which includes the top-selling mass tabloid Bild, have openly backed ‘Israel’s’ murderous and racist policies in the occupied territories in addition to the Zionist regime’s brutal military aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

Axel Springer newspapers are also employing ‘Israel’ lobbyists on their editorial staff who are essentially toeing the line of the ‘Israeli’ embassy.

German critics of ‘pro-Israel’ media reports argue it has been basically become impossible to report anything critical about the Zionist regime without being branded anti-Semitic.
