New Delhi : India is awaiting revelations from the release of diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks, but hopes to “work it out” with the US, Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur said Monday.
“This is a very sensitive issue. We have good bilateral relations (with the US) and they had already warned us,” Kaur told reporters.
“So, I think it is not the right time to comment on it. We want to continue having good relationship with the US. So, I think let us wait and work this out.”
Asked about revelations of instructions to US diplomats to also indulge in spying, Kaur was noncommittal.
“It is an internal matter for each country and their diplomats… What they want to get and how they deal with it,” she said.
