New Delhi : All shops and commercial establishments here will remain closed Oct 3 and 14, the opening and closing days of the Commonwealth Games, the Delhi government said in a notification Friday.
The government said the notification was issued under the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954.
As per the notification, no deduction will be made from the wages of the employees on account of the two holidays.
Already schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region have been closed Oct 1-17 for extended autumn vacations coinciding with the Commonwealth Games here.
