Chandigarh: The All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) has filed a complaint with Punjab police chief demanding registration of a sedition case against Booker Prize winner writer Arundhati Roy.
The AIATF has raised objections over Arundhati’s speech during a public meeting at Jalandhar in Punjab Oct 17.

According to the AIATF, which is headed by Maninderjit Singh Bitta, Arundhati named Manipur, Nagaland, Punjab, Kashmir and some other places where the army and police had been used to suppress armed struggles.
Arundhati is already facing the heat over here recent controversial remarks on Kashmir earlier this month. On this issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded her arrest and said that the language used by her was objectionable and amounted to attack on the country’s integrity.
