Defeat communal agenda of Sangh Parivar on Babri verdict: PFI

By TCN News,

Manjeri: Popular Front of India has exhorted all sections of the society and the government to jointly maintain peace and harmony and defeat the nefarious Sangh Parivar agenda to create communal tension in the country after the upcoming court verdict in Babri Masjid title suite.

PFI observed that the forthcoming verdict on Babri Masjid title suite on 24th September and subsequent national response to it will be a litmus test of the secular and democratic values enshrined in the constitution. It hoped that the tragic serial of events that led to the demolition of Babri Masjid will not be repeated and the Union and U. P. governments would curb the communal fascist forces who are spreading communal hatred by saying that they will not accept court verdict if it went against them.

PFI made the appeal at the end of its two-day National Executive Council meeting held yesterday at Green Valley at Manjeri in Kerala to discuss the burning topics related to the community and the country. At the meeting Babri Masjid title suit was on the top of the agenda.

“On one hand Muslims who were barred from entering the Babri Masjid since 1948 and witnessed its demolition by Sangh Privar in 1992 are in patient waiting for a just verdict. On the other hand Sangh Parivar has now started another round of war against rule and law of the country by organizing a nationwide campaign demanding the construction of the temple on the Babri Masjid site irrespective of court verdict. It is nothing but an attempt to put pressure on the judiciary for a favourable verdict:” reads a PFI press release issued after the meeting.

PFI reiterated that the Muslim community should continue its democratic and legal struggle till the Babri Masjid is rebuilt on the same site and appealed all sections of the society to jointly maintain peace and harmony and defeat the nefarious Sangh Parivar agenda to create communal tension in the country.

The meeting was presided over by PFI Chairman E.M. Abdul Rahiman while General Secretary K.M.Shareef, Vice Chairman Mohammed Ali Jinna, Treasurer Riyaz Pasha, Secretary O.M.A.Salam and other members also attended the meeting.
