Applications invited for free civil services coaching in Maha

Pune: Dr Ambedkar Competitive Exam Centre (ACEC), Pune has invited applications from meritorious students belonging to weaker section of the society to join the centre for eleven months free pre-coaching for Civil Services examination.

The ACEC is sponsored by state government which gives Rs.30 lakh every year to the centre. A graduate from Maharashtra state is eligible for joining the centre. Only 50 candidates will be selected through entrance test which will be held on 11th Nov, 2010. Selected candidates will be provided with free accommodation besides a stipend of Rs 2250 every month.

The candidates will be coached by professionals and experts. Prosperous library with books, magazines/ journals, newspapers along with study room is available for the candidates. They will also enjoy the facility of computer with Internet.

The interested and eligible candidates from Maharashtra can download the application forms from the official website of ACEC http://www.yashada.org/acec/. The last date of submitting the application is 8th Oct. 2010.

ACEC was set up at Yashada, Pune in May 2006, under the Special Component Plan (SCP) for providing coaching for Civil Services Examinations to the weaker section of the society. It aims at tapping the talent in students, encouraging them to appear for Civil Services Examination and helping them to improve their preparation for the examination. The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs.30 lakh for every year to the Centre through Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune.
