Sunni Wakf Board to approach Supreme Court

By IANS,

Lucknow : The Sunni Wakf Board said Thursday that it will approach the Supreme Court after the Allahabad High Court gave its verdict in favour of a temple on the disputed Ayodhya title suit.

“We will approach the Supreme Court,” said Zafaryab Jillani, counsel for the Sunni Wakf Board told reporters.

He also added: “This (verdict) is not a victory for any community.”

The three-judge bench Thursday ruled that the disputed Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site was a temple and a mosque had been built in the 16th century after demolishing it.
