New Delhi : Industry heaved a sigh of relief with a leading industry lobby Thursday saying the judgment was a victory for all parties and appealed for peace.
“The verdict is a win-win for all individuals in the case. Of course, the legal possibilities are open to all,” said D.S. Rawat, secretary general of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and India.
“Our chamber expresses confidence no anti-national element will disrupt peace and communal harmony,” he said in a statement, soon after the three judges of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court gave the verdict.
A majority ruling of the three-judge bench said the site would be divided into three parts – one for the Muslims, one for the Hindus and the third for the Nirmohi Akhara.
