New Delhi : Australian spin legend Shane Warne has denied showing interest in taking over as the Indian cricket coach following the departure of South African Gary Kirsten after an outstanding three-year tenure.
Warne was surprised at media reports, which said that he was interested in replacing Kirsten, who coached the Indian team to its World Cup triumph.
“Just got told on bus – apparently I put my hand up to coach India. Wow – first I have heard of it. Sorry to disappoint but never said that!!!” Warne wrote on Twitter.
