Lucknow : Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Banda town of Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region April 30, a party leader said Thursday.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh told reporters here that “the rally is aimed at explaining the Bundelkhand (development) package prepared by the central government”.
The Congress will hold another rally in Basti April 24 , he added.
The rallies were a part of the preparations for state assembly elections due next year, he said.
