Srinagar: In a significant move, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in the old city in Srinagar has decided to remove all the barricades and other obstructions causing inconvenience to the traffic and general public.
“We have decided to remove all the barricades and other obstruction during day and the night in view of Ramadan, Commandant 82 Battalion CRPF Sudhir Kumar told Agence India Press” here.
When Asked Whether this would remain for a temporary period he said ‘As we are getting a huge response in the events organised By the Crpf in last few weeks, we thought to take some steps, to enhance CRPF and general public friendly relations. ” This is not a temporary move, sudhir said”
He further said during the night we used to place barricades in the old city, but now onwards we will not put any barricades.
