Islamabad : A Pakistan Navy ship, built in China, will visit Malaysia to participate in a five-day long maritime and aerospace exercise.
PNS SAIF is representing Pakistan Navy in the five-day Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) exercise 2011 from Dec 5-11.
It is the third ship of Sword class F22 Frigates built in Shanghai, China, which was inducted into the naval fleet in November last year, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
High Commissioner for Pakistan in Malaysia Masood Khalid, in a statement, said both Pakistan and Malaysia enjoy good relations and both countries have close military and government ties.
The exhibition is a premier destination for aerospace and maritime manufacturers targeting the Asia Pacific growth markets.
In 2009, over 210 delegations from 40 countries had gathered in Langkawi island.
Since its inception in 1991, LIMA has grown in strength. From 150 companies in 1991, it attracted more than 450 companies from 25 countries in the 2009 exhibition.
