Kolkata : IT leader Infosys Friday said it has already paid Rs.75 crore for land for its proposed software development centre on the outskirts of the city and the construction work is expected to start in the next three to six months.
“We are making progress. Now we have paid 100 percent of the money (for the land). It is Rs.1.5 crore per acre. The total land for the project is 50 acres,” Infosys Limited executive co-chairman S. Gopalakrishnan told reporters on the sidelines of an event here.
He said in the first phase, the investment would be Rs.100 crore and 5,000 people will be employed.
