New Delhi : The final draft of the anti-corruption Lokpal bill was tabled in the Rajya Sabha Friday amid an uproar in the house over External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna’s alleged involvement in illegal mining in Karnataka.
The report was tabled by the parliamentary standing committee on law and justice chair Abhishek Manu Singhvi.
A copy of the report was not immediately available.
Singhvi had earlier said report had dissent notes, mostly related to the exclusion of around 5.7 million Group C staff, the largest chunk of government employees, from the proposed ombudsman’s ambit.
