New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed the second set of supplementary charges in the second generation (2G) spectrum allocation case Monday, this time alleging criminal conspiracy and forgery by three firms and five people, including the promoters of Essar group.
The formal document of charges, running into 22,000 pages, filed by the probe agency in the special trial court hearing the case, has pressed for prosecution under the Indian Penal Code provisions for alleged forgery as well as criminal conspiracy.
The three companies named in the document are Essar Teleholdings, Loop Telecom and Loop Mobile India, while the five individuals are Essar Group’s Anshuman Ruia, Ravikant Ruia and Vikash Saraf, and the promoters of Loop, Ishwari Prasad Khaitan and Kiran Khaitan.
