New Delhi: The Lok Sabha Wednesday defeated by a voice vote the adjournment motion moved by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani on the issue of black money and the government’s alleged failure to tackle it.
After a debate that lasted nearly six hours, the motion to adjourn the house, which would have meant a censure for the government, was put to voice vote.
Most of the MPs in the packed house said no to the motion. The house resumed its normal business after the motion was defeated.
