Chandigarh : Kurukshetra University in Haryana has set up an international guest house for visitors from abroad.
It was inaugurated Sunday by Haryana governor Jagannath Pahadia, who is also the university’s chancellor.
The university’s vice chancellor D.D.S. Sandhu said the guest house will provide boarding and lodging facilities for those coming from abroad to attend seminars, conferences and training programmes.
“Efforts are being made to provide a very congenial atmosphere for making the campus academically and internationally vibrant and active. The opening of the international guest house is one of the efforts in this direction,” Sandhu said.
Equipped with latest facilities, the international guest house has 26 deluxe rooms and two suites, a university spokesman said.
Kurukshetra is around 110 km from state capital Chandigarh.
