Islamabad : Three blasts of low intensity near police investigation center and offices of senior police officers created panic in northeast Pakistani city of Gujranwala Wednesday, police said.
No one was hurt in the three blasts in ten minutes, city police chief Ghulam Muhammad Dogar said. He said the blasts were aimed at terrorizing the police officers.
The blasts damaged walls of the police offices and smashed windows of nearby buildings, residents said.
No group claimed responsibility for the early morning blasts. Taliban militants are blamed for such attacks.
Two blasts rocked the city’s main Central Investigation Center in the highly security zone at Peoples Colony of Gujranwala, some 60 km in northeast of Lahore, the capital of Punjab province.
