Technical snag in Mumbai airport hits flights

By IANS,

Mumbai : A technical snag in the radar at Mumbai airport led to flight delays of nearly 30 minutes early Sunday, according to an official.

The radar of the Air Traffic Control at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport developed a technical snag around 3 a.m., creating problems for guiding both incoming and outgoing flights, mostly international services, from here.

The snag was rectified after two hours and the operations became normal after 6 a.m., the official said.

While the cause of the snag is being investigated, the official said there was no systems crash or total blackout at the airport or any major impact on the operations.
