India condemns Norway massacre

By IANS,

New Delhi: India Saturday condemned the twin attacks in Norway and expressed “shock and outrage” at the killing of 91 people in the capital Oslo and an island in the Scandinavian country.

“We condemn it. We are shocked and outraged at the killings in Norway. We are pained at the loss of lives,” Vishnu Prakash, the spokesperson of the external affairs ministry, told IANS here when asked for a comment.

A rightwing Christian Friday massacred 84 people on an island in Norway, soon after carrying out a deadly bombing in Oslo that killed seven people.

The police arrested and charged a 32-year-old man, Anders Behring Breivik, with engineering both the attacks.
